Great article, Andre! Really appreciate you breaking down the difference between EPA and DHA, most fish oil labels just lump them together. For someone who already tests in a decent range on the Omega-3 Index but wants to lean more EPA for inflammation, is switching products enough, or does timing and food pairing end up mattering just as much as which one you pick?
If the goal is specifically inflammation, I wouldn’t assume that simply leaning more heavily toward EPA is better. EPA and DHA both influence inflammatory markers, and head-to-head trials haven’t shown a consistent advantage for EPA. If you do take an omega-3 supplement, taking it with food can improve absorption, especially with ethyl ester formulations.
